Bidirectional charging: European results from EV4EU

A research update separates prototypes from commercial deployment.

In an update dated 8 October, CORDIS outlines results from EV4EU, a project that ended on 31 May 2026. Partners tested a bidirectional CCS charging prototype and developed open-source software tools for operators. Demonstrators in Portugal, Slovenia, Greece and Denmark examined charging flexibility. These are research results from European pilot sites, rather than an announcement of a commercial service available to electric-car owners in Morocco.
