Mercedes-Benz: electric cars reach 16.8% of third-quarter car sales
The manufacturer reports its global July–September 2026 results.
Mercedes-Benz’s 7 October statement reports 68,400 battery-electric cars sold worldwide in the third quarter, up 61% from the same quarter last year. They account for 16.8% of Mercedes-Benz Cars sales. Including plug-in hybrids takes the share to 25%. Across all powertrains, however, car sales fell 8% to 407,200 vehicles. These rounded figures are preliminary; the passenger-car totals should not be confused with the group’s combined car-and-van results.
