BYD Seagull vs Dacia Spring in Morocco: price, range and boot

Seagull or Spring in Morocco? Compare indicative prices, WLTP range, boot space and charging, with clear version and source limitations.

The quick choice: range or boot space?

Published figures favour the Seagull Confort for combined range and the Spring Extreme 65 for boot volume. They are two everyday-use options to assess against your route, luggage and charging access. This comparison uses Moroccan information checked on 8 October 2026, without claiming a personal road test or a universal winner.

Price: MAD 199,900 versus MAD 215,000

Wandaloo lists the Seagull at MAD 199,900; Dacia Morocco advertises the Spring E3 Extreme 65 from MAD 215,000. The displayed gap is MAD 15,100 before comparing fees and equipment. Wandaloo does not name the Seagull trim in its price row: request a quote matching the brochure’s Confort. These amounts establish neither stock nor on-the-road pricing.

Range: compare the same test cycle

Moroccan sources quote 300 km combined WLTP for the Seagull Confort and 220 km for the Spring 65. Urban figures of 445 and 305 km respectively are not substitutes for that combined-cycle comparison. The quoted 80 km gap is not a motorway guarantee: speed, terrain, weather and payload affect the result. Plan stops around your actual route.

Boot and parking: try your own belongings

Quoted boot volume is 230 litres for the Seagull and 308 litres for the Spring, a 78-litre difference on paper. Measurement methods and usable shapes can differ: try your pushchair or luggage in both. The Seagull brochure gives a length of 3.78 m; our dimensions guide explains garage-access checks. Also compare door opening and accommodation for your usual passengers.

Fast charging: check the option and charge window

BYD quotes up to 40 kW DC and 30 minutes from 30 to 80%. Dacia specifies an optional 30 kW DC charger on the 65 PS version, with 45 minutes from 20 to 80%. The different starting percentages prevent a direct charging-speed test. If public charging is important, confirm DC capability on the Spring you order. For home charging, have the installation and required cables checked.

Our advice before reserving

Shortlist the Seagull if the quoted range margin is your priority; try the Spring if boot space is decisive. Obtain two detailed quotes and compare insurance, servicing, warranty, charging arrangements and local support. If regular charging is difficult, plan a typical week before committing. The AtlasVolt calculator can then estimate energy spending in MAD using your own assumptions.
